Homas
Lakshmi Ganapathi homa
- Addressed to
- Sri Lakshmi with Sri Ganapati
- Usually asked for
- A new venture
Sri Lakshmi and Sri Ganapati invoked together: prosperity sought at the same time as the clearing of what stands in its way. In practice it is the rite families ask for when a venture is both new and financial.
Where an occasion is purely a beginning, Ganapati homa alone is usually the appropriate rite. I will say which fits.
Procedure, duration, materials and whether it can be performed in your absence depend on your circumstances, so I discuss those with you rather than list them here. Wording on this page is awaiting my review.
